Around the World - The 32nd Stop, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
After the wild week in Kangaroo Island, safely back in a city and in a 5th floor apartment without venomous spiders hanging on ceilings. Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia and the fifth-largest city in the country. And I must confess - Adelaide was so much more than we expected. Beautiful historic buildings, unclouded beaches, green parks, wide streets and a good blend of cafes and restaurants. (Not to mention the perfect weather.)
We took a nice river cruise to see the famous Adelaide's dolphins, spent few splendid days at the beach and off course went to see a Santos Tour Down Under race of which the city was hustling about. Add this day trips to nearby wine regions Barossa (♥ Peter Lehmann) and Clare Valley (♥ Jim Barry), and I would say we had the best possible ending for our South Australian tour-nee.
Our very special thanks for Paul & Debby - not only for your stylish Dolphinview Apartment, but also your kind hospitality to make our stay just perfect!
